Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have not written in a while, things here have been crazy! As most of you know Elizabeth finally came home on the 15th of this month. It was such a long wait but well worth it. She came home on a nasal cannula, with minimal oxygen and a bunch of medications, making her a full time job. We are still trying to get to know her as I’m sure she is us, she’s probably wondering “who are these nurses?”. My mom has been a giant life safer, and has been here a lot, which has spared me from trying to take both of them out of the house at the same time. I’m really not looking forward to that circus. Elizabeth has endless doctor appointments beginning next week so we will be pretty busy figuring out getting to those. Amelia is doing great and growing like a weed. She, on the other hand, was not so happy to see her sister. I think she got used to be an only child. It’s funny, we put them together and she will not look at her, she will look everywhere but at her. So we have no good pictures of the two of them together. It’s so hard to believe that it has been so long and just now both the girls are home. That day in April seems like a lifetime ago and at the same time, like it was yesterday. I have been thinking about everyone a lot, and get overwhelmed trying to figure out how I can express my gratitude to everyone for their support, prayers,and positive energy that were sent our way. There is no way we would have been able to make it through this without it. We have been down such a long road already and have an even longer one ahead as we hope they continue to grow and thrive normally.
I am on a mission to get good pictures of the girls together, the only ones that turn out are when they are asleep. I will post them the them the second I succeed. I hope everyone is well….
